FAQ

Here is a list of commonly asked questions. If your question is not covered, please contact me for an answer. I'd be please to help you.

  • Can you fly anytime and anywhere?
Even though I have an Advanced RPAS licence, I still have to abide by the rules. The main safety factors that influence whether I can fly at any given time are 1) weather, 2) aviation safety, 3) public safety and 4) federal and local laws.
  • How long does it take to complete a project?
That depends on how complicated the project is, how detailed the plan is for the project, and how many types of services you are looking for. Post-processing time also has a big influence on how quickly I can deliver the final product.
  • How do you protect public privacy e.g. for people not involved in the project?
I protect privacy by avoiding filming people on private property and not publishing any identifying information (e.g. blur out licence plates, etc.)
  • Does the city of Guelph have any bylaws banning flying of drones?
No. I contacted the city of Guelph bylaw office directly and they confirmed that they do not have current restrictions on drone flying.
